Vinide - The Band

Everything started in autumn 2003...

The band had sort out it's first lineup and began rehearse playing their own rock songs. First demo was made in spring 2004 and it was such a great thing for the band. But soon after that we took a creative pause. Summer 2004 was the time of getting to know what we wanted to do. Finally we decided to continue with the band and have a hole new concept of our music.

We decided simply to play Heavy Rock which kind of gets you on to a good mood. Then we made few songs and put two of them into a demo which was called 04. After taking 110 copies of the demo we sent it some places. One of the places was radio channel Yle-X and our demo raised into a weekly competition where all the listeners could vote their favourite demo band. We didn't actually win it but after that we started to use all our efforts to make our music that better that we could have listened our music on the radio some other time too.

Then it came, our third (not so demo quality anymore) recording. It included four songs, Remains, Unplugged (name of the EP too), Drowning To Live and Fix. Recorded in a real studio with Jonas von Matt and released on the 1st of july 2005. Releasing gig was in festival called Hirvigroove, in Kuhmo where the all players of Vinide have their roots...

After few gigs, there were growing something bigger in our heads: the long play album. It took about year and a half to finnish our ten songs into a shape that they could have been recorded. We built up a studio into Kuhmon Yhteislukio's Café and the most of the summer we were recording the songs. There were six weeks time to record our album in that studio. We had to mix the album somewhere else and in the very end we almost run out off time. While writing this story we are about decide when we are going to realease the album and you will hear it soon. Keep checking for the updates...
